Conveting those prices to USA dollars they are much the
same here in Michigan.

Some people in the USA enjoy unusual circumstances and
those are the one they most often reference.  While few
dumpsters are filled with decent computers it is also
true that wages in the Detroit, Michigan area are quite
a bit higher than in those areas where computers are
routinely tossed away.  Seems ironic but I can only
surmise that the division between the rich and the
poor is greater in certain parts of the USA?

Any person of any age that can get hired into a Detroit
auto plant can make $40k US the first year and more each
year after that working few, if any, overtime hours.  At
those pay scales they wouldn't bother to check dumpsters
and Ford Motor Company _gave_ it's entire workforce brand
new HP 128 meg 'internet ready' computers a year ago and
$5 per month for dialup PPP access.

In southern states none of this is the same and they are
very poor and so on ...
