Hi all,
I just moved into a high rise on N Lake Shore Dr in Chicago. I've been
getting very poor reception in my new apartment on the 20th floor.
Normally this could be attributed to poor cell tower coverage except
that:
1. My SE T610 shows a steady 3/5 signal strength in my apt.
2. Usually people on the other end can hear me clearly
but evry 3rd word spoken by the other party gets cut
out on my end.
3. On the first floor, my phone shows the same signal strength
but now the voice quality is good both ways.
4. The problem with voice quality is reproducible on my
friend's T610 when making or receiving calls from my new apt.
Despite having the SE T610, notorious for poor RF performance, I've
been happy with t-mobile service in Chicago. But voice quality in my
apartment is driving me crazy.
Any suggestions from the gurus on this list would be appreciated.
Would getting a different phone (Nokia, Samsung) solve this problem?
Peace,
Shailesh
