Wikipedia is read by a large variety of readers---some experts, some
complete novices.  Anything written for them should contain enough
background that even a novice could read them, but later parts of the
article should include more technical information for the experts.

Five paragraphs is rather short for a Wikipedia article---that would
generally be regarded as a "stub" for an article that had not been
written yet.
