Well, as I am in the process of learning the ins and outs of Thunderbird after happily using Eudora for about thirteen years, I really would hate to deprive myself of the possible conveniences of what ever app might be available, but if that's what it takes...

Sure wish I could find an updated audio tutorial for Thunderbird. If I remember correctly, I think it was Tom Martino who put up one on the GWM Web site years ago which I downloaded and listened to with an eye toward making the switch, but guess I proved to be a bit too lazy to do so at the time. Does anybody know if he might have updated it since then, or if not, where I could find another one?

I have no idea why you guys are having such problems with Thunderbird. Therefore my only guess is the Thunderbird Enhanced app, which I do not use. So I'd try disabling that app to see if things calm down. I don't have any problems with Thunderbird and just updated to the latest version a day or two ago.

Hth,
Tom

Brenda, I regretfully can't offer you any solution to your issue,
because I'm having exactly the same problem when deleting messages from
my inbox. It doesn't happen every time, only intermittenly. I was just
hoping that someone can kill two peoples problems with one solution, if
at all possible.

good morning
Thank you Tom and Larry for the info on copying and pasting a link for
converting youtube to mp3. I will follow your instructions and check
out songr (?) once I can read your emails without Thunderbird freezing.

I can open and start to read an email, but when i tap the arrow or
other key to silence speech and arrow around, thunderbird freezes,
Window Eyes quits speaking and alt-tab doesn't work. When I am finally
able to ALT-F4 to close T-bird things work again, BUT when I re-open
T-Bird I have to use the numpad mouse to get to my inbox and then I
have to ALT F8 to get rid of the reading pain.

fortunately, I am able to type this email with T-bird and I can read
emails on my iPhone, but I would really like to get this issue fixed.
win 7-64, W-E 9.1 latest Thunderbird, AVG security
(malware bytes and spybot are run manually)

Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this would be greatly
appreciatexd.

thanks
brenda
