Chip I think your mistaken , thisi is something that ai square and gw have done since they havegotten rid of he payment pplan that most of us wer on prior to the windows for office concept. I don't think they would get rid of it as its one means ofgetting more and more customers introduced to window eyes an hten down the road keeping htem as customers. If you know whati mean.

I also suspect your requests for enhancements (especially to make it work with some new program) get much more attention when you're a paying support customer. As for the synthesizer, yes, you are giving up the use of any "high quality" one. You are also gambling on MS keeping this program going from year to year; they could stop it at any time and your copy of Window-Eyes (the free one) would no longer work. The quality of tech support was a big reason I chose Window Eyes originally and that is a big factor for me to consider in this switch, but I also want to know if others who made the switch think I'm giving up anything else. I currently use the Dectalk voice in WE and do have Kurzweil so I can use that Eloquence voice if I have to. Opinions?
