Unfortunately, the android version of voice dream reader isn't as good as it
is on ios. That is one of my favorite apps on my ipad mini. Here are a few
things I do with my ipad mini 4.
Bard mobile: I can read nls books on it. Books can be directly
downloaded to your ios device.
Audible: I can read books from audible. Books can be directly
downloaded to the ios device.
Kindle: I can read Kindle books from Amazon.
Learning Ally: I can read books from Learning Ally. I can directly download
books to my ios device.
Boice dream reader: I can read books from bookshare, unprotected epub.

Zipped MP3 files, such as LibriVox, Plain Text, Rich Text Format (RTF),

What's nice about voice dream reader, you can download books from both
bookshare
and Project Gutenberg directly to your ios device. Voice dream reader is
supplied with Acapela Heather. You have the option of using Neospeech.
LibriVox audio books pro: I can stream or download books from
LibriVox or a large selection of old time radio shows. The thing I like
about this app, it will resume playback when streaming content.
Downcast: this is my favorite podcast app.
Tune n radio pro: TuneIn lets you listen to and record the world’s radio
with
sports, news, talk and music streaming from every continent. Enjoy 100,000
live radio stations and 2 million podcasts, concerts or shows on your
iPhone, iPad and
iPod. Record your favorite stream.

and
Entertainment Radio. over 36,000 web radio stations.

hi
actually an even less expensive alternative would be an android RCA
galileo pro tablet laptop hybrid running android 6.0. I got one two days
ago. It comes with google docs sheets and slides already installed,
supports sd cards and has a full USB port for a mouse or a USB flash
drive. talkback can be activated when you first turn it on by placing
and holding two fingers on the screen until it starts talking keep
holding them until talkback comes or turns on and then you can set it up
independently. I like it because I can either dock it to the keyboard
and then its a laptop. or I can pull the tablet off the keyboard and use
it just as a touch screen tablet. and with the soft braille keyboard app
i can braille in grade2 on the touch screen just like a braille note
touch. and the whole thing is just $80 at walmart or with the walmart
app on your phone. and you can use many different voices such as
eloquence, or espeak, vocalizer or acapela voices. the talkback screen
reader has many keyboard shortcuts I had to remap a few because the
default ones did not work right so i just changed them. its as easy as
remapping hotkeys in window eyes or jaws. I have also been providing a
lot lot of feedback to the talkback developers to make it even better.
android 5.0 actually starting with 4.4 on up to current 7.2 or whatever
they are at now is a very very good operating system! I plug my android
tablet laptop hybrid RCA galileo pro into speakers and with the xfinity
tv app sit back and watch tv on it.
