Hi there!
Well as I have stated in earlier messages, I have owned 2 iPhones and am on my second Android. I love my s7 although as I recall I probably felt the same way about my iPhone at the time. It really comes down to whether or not you are willing to do some experimenting or not. I probably will not go back to the iPhone unless Apple does something extraordinary with the upcoming iPhones. Not to say I won't go back at all, but I just like the openness and flexibility of the Android platform. Just my thoughts! Catch Ya All Later de

Three years ago, before I bought an I-Phone, I tried a android phone from
Samsung. I have to admit that the whole concept of sliding and tapping with
a variety of fingers was pretty alien to me at that time, not to mention
frustrating and just plain kind of scary, but I had heard from a lot of
people about how much more accessible the I-Phone was because of Voiceover,
and I finally bought one, and found that was true. Perhaps I bought the
wrong brand. What brands have people found to be as accessible as the
I-Phone?

Hi there Russ and Folks!

Yes, I can runn all the same APPs on my Android device that you use on
your iPhone. As a matter of fact I have actually tried with a high degree
of success all but the BookShare APP on my S7 and yes they have all worked
well. Yes, I have owned two iPhones and am on my second Android Phone.
Yes, there is some diffrence, but the differences that I see are
negligable. I know there are purists from both the iPhohne camp as well
as the Android camp that will take issue with 3what I am saying, but I
find the real differences are more differences in taste and what you
actually like. I stand behind what I am saying though, because in my mind
a phone is a phone is a pphone give or take a few bells and whistles
unless you are attempting to run GM or IBM or some other multi-national
Corporation from your phone<SMILE!>. When my currecnt phone contract is
up, I might just take a look at an iPhone again depending on what android
and apple have to offer me at that time. Just my opinion for whatever
that might be worth these days! Thanks & have A Good Day! A

what really matters is 1. we each can afford the devices that do the

to buy.

hi
actually an even less expensive alternative would be an android RCA
galileo pro tablet laptop hybrid running android 6.0. I got one two days
ago. It comes with google docs sheets and slides already installed,
supports sd cards and has a full USB port for a mouse or a USB flash
drive. talkback can be activated when you first turn it on by placing
and holding two fingers on the screen until it starts talking keep
holding them until talkback comes or turns on and then you can set it up
independently. I like it because I can either dock it to the keyboard
and then its a laptop. or I can pull the tablet off the keyboard and use
it just as a touch screen tablet. and with the soft braille keyboard app
i can braille in grade2 on the touch screen just like a braille note
touch. and the whole thing is just $80 at walmart or with the walmart
app on your phone. and you can use many different voices such as
eloquence, or espeak, vocalizer or acapela voices. the talkback screen
reader has many keyboard shortcuts I had to remap a few because the
default ones did not work right so i just changed them. its as easy as
remapping hotkeys in window eyes or jaws. I have also been providing a
lot lot of feedback to the talkback developers to make it even better.
android 5.0 actually starting with 4.4 on up to current 7.2 or whatever
they are at now is a very very good operating system! I plug my android
tablet laptop hybrid RCA galileo pro into speakers and with the xfinity
tv app sit back and watch tv on it.
