When I upgraded to v1.36, I was very happy to see that there is now an
auto-format option in The Bat! Admittedly, I expected it to work like in
Agent. So I immediately turned it off again, it was just driving me
crazy! But, well, to me the technical explanation of the strange
auto-format behavior is quite obvious: it's just like there is a little
grinning dwarf sitting in the background, hitting Alt-L (or Alt-R or
Alt-J depending on your settings) on the current paragraph all the time
:-)

In fact, that's what I suspect the RIT guys did. They thought "Hmm, they
want auto-format? Well, we already have those block format keyboard
shortcuts, lets put them into a background task and have them loop over
the current paragraph indefinitely". Sorry for being a pest, but being a
lazy programmer myself, this sounds quite obvious to me ;-)

Ralf.
