It doesn't go this way my friend.
A mail reader is made for one job. To read mail. As much as your
coffee machine is made to make coffee.
All i want is to read mail. I have tried many readers and with the
exeption of mutt none is close to The Bat's functionality. Because
the bat was writen for send/fetch/view/search mail. And it is working
very good so far.
I admit that the various viewers built in make my life easier. I only
wish that the next version use them as plugins. I like the extra
functionality as much as you do, but I don't want it to interfere with
my primary job, that is reading mail. Plugins are great, extend
functionality but don't interfere with the main job.

If I may, I don't think that Steve disagrees. Neither do I. The idea
is the excanging of information but the implementation of news is
vastly different from the implementation of mail.
In few words, the idea is the same, the way to do it is very different
