I dislike system trashcans. :-D I have the hassle of having to clear
them since I hardly EVER restore anything. You can send your system in a
tizzy as I've seen others do when they delete stuff that is too large for
the recycle bin. Have you ever done it? When I got my compaq laptop, the
first thing I did was to delete the contents of the backup partition. I do
my own backups you see. I did it via the CLI. A friend of mine asked me
whether or not he could delete his backup since we used the same laptops.
I said sure ..... Booom. He selected the folder and deleted 400MB of stuff
to the recycle bin. Eeeek!

Whenever I hit Shift-Del, *I mean it* hence no recycle bin to reduce
my HD life span. :) It's kinda difficult to tap shift-del accidentally or
in a swift move of the mouse hit 'del folder contents'.

Of course not. You don't get my point do you?

I already have this feature where I need it and that is in text and
photo-editing. :-D I just don't cater to a system wide one. It's
inefficient. Thank goodness I can bypass it. I loved OS/2 for not having a
recycle bin by default.
