It sems they haven't. Within a few hours of having restarted
the computer and using TB, memory usage has increased from +8
Mb to +9 Mb.

I have TB configured to purge & compress all folders on
exit. The weird thing however is that mem usage seems to
increase while TB is open - as if it is slowly usurping
memory.

Actually, for the sake of anwering your quoestion, I purged
& compress all folders just now and then rechecked mem
usage. By now its at 97xx Kb - if anything, mem usage has
increased, not decreased.
