Hey, that drive must be greased lightening. :=)
Using TB! folders with over 5000 messages is therefore not that
impractical since your disk speed has a lot to do with how these large
message archives are handled in terms of speed of access etc.
CTRL+] gets you to the next unread message from top of the message list
downwards so it's a very useful shortcut with large folders containing
threaded messages with new ones scattered among many of the threads.
