No idea what the second option does. The first option deletes
attachments that have come in with incoming messages. You can save
the attachments separately (right-click and save as) if you want to
retain them after deleting the associated messages. Files that are
already on your hard drive independently of TB! will remain there;
sending one as an attachment and then deleting your 'sent mail' copy
will not delete the separate, pre-existing document.
