Version Numbers and 1.60h, i or j, etc... I think it's good practice to not get too caught up in running latest versions of anything unless it's a really established edition.
So, I think of anything 1.60 as being near the edge of beta. If only it was as clear cut as "this version now has zero bugs and will never be found to have any anomalies"!! Don't worry too much, get a fairly recent version, run with that for as long as you care -- it'll remain stable, familiar and functional, and only upgrade when you have good reason, or the feature list has grown significantly enough to warrant it, or a fix is released explicitly for something that matters to you. If you want to keep really on the cutting edge of latest versions, then you're in some kind of beta-like territory whether you really like it or not! No hard and fast rules out there in debugging land! Of course, this is a general comment about "recent versions" of all things -- and you save a heap in installation and upgrade woes. Hope this helps to loosen the stress a bit :-) -- Best regards, James. ________________________________________________________ Current Ver: 1.60i FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Bug Reports: https://bt.ritlabs.com
