Hello Mary,
MB> Do you mean you are running a beta version? Are you subscribed to MB> tbbeta? If so, all these questions might get better help on that list. MB> The latest beta is v. 3.01/RC3 and it is pretty good, although a few MB> of the testers are still reporting a few problems. your absolute right :) - I'm using the new Beta and am also subscribed to the beta list, but since this error occurs also with the official release and is around with me for some time, i think it has nothing to to with the beta version. Which I must totally agree is really good. When V3RC1 came out, I decide to buy V3 because they really make it work like a charm. V2 had annoying bugs, but for me V3 works fine and had no trouble with it so far. MB> Tell us please what version number of The Bat! you are running and on what MB> operating system. I'm using The Bat! Version 3.0.1 RC3 under Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 MB> Then perhaps some of the more technically able people here might have MB> some suggestions. It's maybe to tricky, just a simple file which is corrupt and made the bat behave like this, or an old entry in some of the bat files. But how to find it? Maybe it's wiser for me just to make the two accounts with the problems new from the scratch, because it's sure not a very common problem, so that if there is no one which already solved it for himself, it's to much for a haste to find :) I never like people who says, when a problem occurs: 'Just install windows new', because I am that kind of person, which want to find the error. But sometimes i must agree to them, when it needs less time to install it new, than to find the error :) MB> I wish you had just installed the new copy of The Bat! right over the MB> old copy. That so far has worked for me and data and settings and MB> filters were conserved without error for me in v. 3.0 and in the MB> subsequent betas. I try it so first, but since I also reinstall windows new on the C: partition I think that i also put the bat on the C: drive instead of the d: - but that was a big mistake ;) But I had to install windows new, because it was on D and my c partition was only 15MB great and so i was not able to install the SP1, because he wanted 100mb space on c: even when windows was not on c :) MB> This is the best place to get help, unless you are running a beta. On MB> tbbeta the programmers themselves are actively posting to the list MB> trying to help the beta testers get the last few problems in RC3 MB> ironed out before a full release of v. 3.01. MB> I think if you were there, you would soon have the attention of 9Val MB> or Stefan. Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately i already posted the question here, and cross posting is not nice :) - I was not sure for myself if that was a beta problem or not, but think its really just a non beta problem, so i hope that here has someone a solution for it :) - but as said before, because its so uncommon, its not worth much haste for finding it, when only .1% has this error. MB> Tell us your operating system and put the version number of The Bat! MB> which you are running. It is indeed better to ask first. I'm using The Bat! Version 3.0.1 RC3 under Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 But the error occurs a while ago so it's surely not a beta problem :) have a great time adrian ________________________________________________ Current version is 3.00.00 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
