I'm a long-time member, Donna, and have participated in both local chapters (back when I lived in North Carolina) and SIGs, but will probably let my membership lapse this year. I get a great deal more value out of my memberships in the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Association for Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) than I do from STC at this point. PMI runs very good local educational programs in New York City, and if I got nothing more from APMP but an occasional e-mail and the terrific quarterly journal they publish, I'd be happy as a clam. STC provides me with... um... well, nothing I'd miss, actually. (As a carless Manhattanite, it's virtually impossible for me to get to "local" chapter meetings of the NYC Metro STC, since they all seem to be out in Jersey.) - bc -- Barry Campbell -- <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Voice: +1.212.807.1836 | Mobile: +1. 646.498.3518 | Fax: +1.866.522.7270 AOL IM: bcampbellnyc Blog: http://campbell-online.com _______________________________________________ Are you a Help Authoring Trainer or Consultant?
