And if it is indeed too little, too late, I'm unhappy about that, but, as you say, it's too late for anything we're going to be able to do in the next few years to change your mind. It's a shame but I must accept that this is so. For those who are not completely disgusted--which almost included me, btw; it's why I ran for a Board seat a few years ago--I think we're already seeing changes in a number of venues that are very positive. The Executive Director is dazzling (my ability to even use that word in this context says something) and we're actually able to see where our money's going. And, thanks to the new IMIS software, I am probably about to have my long-time dreams of a speakers bureau and a newsletter article/writers directory become reality. Those were two of my strong goals for running for office. There's a tiered dues structure in place, a much more intelligent method of distributing money to chapters and SIGs, and a completely restructured conference. I'm happy about things and getting happier the more of the old horseshit we get shoveled out and cleared away. >Again, we ARE entitled to our own opinions.
