Is it just the printer share that they can't connect to or is it any
share?

I just tried to connect to the printer with both the \\server\share and
the \\ipaddress\share, and no go. This is really confusing me. I was
told that this happened after a Windows Update, but for the life of me I
cannot figure out what happened to kill it. From what I have read
online, there is no way to roll back a Windows Update.

Try switching from UNC to IP.

Replace \\server\share with \\192.168.0.1\share.

have Windows XP on their workstations, and one Windows 7 machine. I was
told that after a recent update, all the Windows XP machines stopped
printing. The Windows 7 machine prints just fine. I have taken a look
their server, and their workstations, and I can see what the issue is,
but I am lost as to how to fix it. All the machines can see the server,
but none of them can connect to it. I have checked user accounts,
permissions, etc, and all looks good. What confuses me is how the
Windows 7 machine works just fine and can print at will, but nothing
else will.
