"If that (kid, mother, father, grandma....) had not had such easy access to (guns, knives, automobiles, cell phones, drugs, alcohol, fatty foods....) then ...." Unfortunately, life on Earth will not be perfect. There will always be someone somewhere who causes mayhem whether intentionally, unintentionally, pre-meditated, or spontaneous.

What is most upsetting about this situation is its proximity to the bell tower where a sniper killed 16 (I think it was 16) people in the 80's in what is thought to be the first of the now far to frequent campus shooting sprees.
