I know two people who go back and forth every two years. The service really 
isn't better on one side or the other, but then they take advantage of new 
equipment and new deals and end up saving money. 

No FX kills any move to Dish for me, too. I need my Sons of Anarchy and 
Justified! Curious about this new boxer show -- Lights Out, I think? -- in 
January, too.

I also purchased a lifetime TiVo subscription back in the day. If I change to 
MediaCom, I'm looking at $20 a month for DVR usage due to the box rental and 
the service subscription. And I haven't looked into Dish's costs, but I cancel 
DirecTV, there goes my subscription. That $250 investment has more than paid 
for itself by now.
