Ah, yes, small for a full IAM solution. Really, phpldapadmin can be restricted to show only the bare essentials, so it can be adapted to allow users to edit themselves (you can even configure it to use a username instead of a DN for login). You can also limit the attributes it shows, etc.
If you want, I'd be happy to walk you through some ideas for you over the phone. Just let me know. It would take about 5 minutes I think. --- Puryear IT, LLC - Baton Rouge, LA - http://www.puryear-it.com/ Active Directory Integration : Web & Enterprise Single Sign-On Identity and Access Management : Linux/UNIX technologies Download our free ebook "Best Practices for Linux and UNIX Servers" http://www.puryear-it.com/pubs/linux-unix-best-practices/ -----Original Message----- From: Roy McMorran [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, March 02, 2010 10:03 AM To: Dustin Puryear Cc: LOPSA Technical Discussions Subject: Re: [lopsa-tech] LDAP end-user tools Dustin Puryear wrote: > Wait. We are a small organization of about 45. I'd envision HR (which is one person), IT (which is 2 people (including me)), and office staff managing some attributes, and allowing 'self service' for some other attributes. There is no integration of HR systems with LDAP, so it would be a manual process for now. Right now I manage LDAP entirely by myself, hence the desire for a tool that will let me delegate some functions to non-technical folks.
