I count myself extremely lucky and I don't mind admitting that I just happened to be in the very right place at the very right time, there was someone I knew who was going to do away with his Voice Sense, he'd switched to IOS devices. I asked him would he take some cash rather than throw the Voice Sense away so that's the story, someone's trash is someone elses treasure, no doubt about it.

Yeah, and this is one thing I've never understood. Why in the world do folks just junk older items, even when they're working prefectly well? I can't tell you how many times I've heard someone say oh, this is old, I can't use it anymore, or it's old, I got a new one, so this one is useless. Someone really ought to smack these folks and get them to wake up. Especially when it comes to adaptive technology. I shutter at the shear number of adaptive devices that wind up in landfills when they're still perfectly functional, just because someone doesn't want/ need them anymore. It's a real shame. folks don't think that maybe someome else might want or need it. Instead of tossing it, folks should really offer it up for others to purchase, so that someone who can't afford to purchase new stuff could get a device that will help them out. Unfortunately though, there's no way to get through to some of these folks, they assume that since it's older, nobody wants it, or worse yet, they figure since it didn't cost them anything, it's not worth anything, and so out it goes. <sigh>
