You could make them send you a print-screen showing their antivirus program on their computer screen or they could send you a store receipt showing their purchase of the software. Just an idea. Mark, Sounds like you do more than most. Like I said, I had gotten several of these in between my Norton updates, but they were obviously suspicious...Usually the message body makes no sense. If you're not sure, just don't open it.. Getting a vir*s really puts a damper on email lists, their users and in general the web itself.. All the while happening in the process of our websites and email lists changing servers. New people will not be subscribed unless they contact me personally. This vir*s has been trying to subscribe to the list and I had to turn that function off until this thing subsides...10-20 admin rejects per day..

Jeff, I know firsthand how much money can be lost when a business gets a virus in the system. I use Norton and get automatic daily updates. On Friday nights Norton does a complete virus scan of all the drives. Am I doing enough? If a computer does get infected but Norton says they are clean how can we find out about it?

I have one thing to say, if I find out who on this list got infected, you will be permanently banned from this list! There is no friggin excuse to get infected. Vir*ses have been around for a long time and every professional on this list should be able to detect a suspicious email. Just because your anti-vir*s did not detect the attachment, DOES NOT mean it is safe. This one came out before I had the updates in my Norton, but it grew suspicion, so I updated my definitions... The only way some of you will learn, is if one of these things wipe your hard drive... Use common sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has created much havoc on this list with 10-20 rejected posts regarding this infection..there is no excuse...everyone on here should be smart enough to protect themselves..
