Hi Bruce,

ResQdisk is a program that fits onto a floppy. It boots into DOS and
is used for rebuilding the Master Boot Record (including the
Partition Tables). When they get corrupt, due to a virus or whatever
else causes this, your partitions (and therefore all your data) appear
to be missing. There are programs which will find some or all of your
data, but this one totally fixes your system.

The experts usually say that you must reformat when this happens. Not
so. You can due a search for ResQdisk and get a free copy which
expires in a few weeks (depends on what day of the month you download
it). In an emergency you can set your BIOS to the approx. date you
got it and it will still work (and then reset your date when thru).

The program cost around $200. Obviously for system administrators.
Yes, just install 2000 to your new D: drive. And use MBRWORK for
backing up the MBR so you don't have to rebuild it (may not always
work) if it get corrupted.
