Bruce, I've never tried it although I think it can be done, however I
would not do this. Bound to be troubles. Why mix in rotten meat in a new
stew? A clean install is ALWAYS better than an upgrade, even if it will
take a long time to save your personal files and transfer them all to
the new OS.
