I would very much like to have an OOB Management solution for my UEs.
Did Dave point you to any more info on this ?

Keeping in mind that this is on my agenda, but I haven't actually done
it yet:
I believe the dedicated bearer is tied to a DSCP value in the IP
header. So you would tag traffic between your UE's and your office
with a DSCP value.

I did not think that VPLS was implied Adam's reply ? Which is why
I'm wondering what I'm missing ;) If it is then that's a different
case.

Are you talking about in a VPLS setup?
Otherwise is it even possible to assign a management IP side of the
UE's IP it's assigned by the EPC?

Dumb question time
- do you assign a "management IP" to the UE? If you use the
UE's public IP to manage it then wouldn't you be routing
asymmetrically ? unless you're using source routing management
traffic to get to the UE ?

If you're using one default bearer, then your management
traffic to the CPE is in the same bucket with customer
traffic. In that case you could see packet loss to CPE when
the customer does anything to occupy the pipe. Dave Clelland
suggested we create a dedicated bearer for management traffic
in order to avoid that.
On the other issues I have no input. We're just diving in
ourselves.

Subject: [Telrad] Issues
We are seeing the following issues with our Telrad Gear. Is
anybody else seeing the same/similar issues?
1) Issues with slower than expected upload speeds. Packet
loss to SM’s. Download speeds slower than expected.
2)VPLS customers losing their capability to pass data until
the EPC is rebooted. During the same timeframe access to the
UE is fine.
3)Issues with VPN connections through VPLS setups.
