DHL once told me that they were unable to deliver an overnight package because my address did not exist. The fact that they had delivered dozens of packages to my house previously did not seem to matter.

When DHL was shutting down, they picked up a defective part from me - AND NEVER DELIVERED IT. I called about it after 2 weeks, and IBM/Lenovo could find no trace of it other than the pickup acknowledgment. I hope the driver enjoyed it - it was, like, defective already.

Other than that, and a tendency to do stupid things like deliver at 10PM (I'm not one of those folks who would answer the door at that hour with a gun in my hand, but a couple of my neighbors probably are!), they did OK by me.

Wow! We sorely hated DHL out west in Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico. FedEx Ground has always been the one for us. UPS has now gotten better so they only crush 1/2 the boxes they deliver, but the price is right

The biggest problem is that DHL/Airborne is gone, and the other carriers do not provide the level of next day service that previously existed.
