Requirements vary; mine are flying/travel machines so I sought the
lowest idle power SSD in the 128Gb class yielding longest battery life.
The Kingston V+100 drives seem to fill that bill and at an attractive
price point.
There are certainly faster SLC and more expensive drives, but MLC are
fine for my application.

Apart from the fact that you can't run 64bit Win7 because you need to
support particular applications, the x61s otherwise generally supports
64bit Win7?
