Thanks, sorry for asking another: if I perform the clean install, is
there now a "better" way of upgrading all the Lenovo drivers and
whatnot? I'd like to add whatever really improves something, and avoid
other stuff.

ie, if I perform a clean install of 64bit Win7, and get it online, can
I download a single simple utility from Lenovo that updates the
Lenovo-specific stuff? (or is it even possible that Windows Update
would now manage that for me?)
