No, the Ultrabays are entirely different between T4x/T6x series and later
T400/500 and so on models...I don't believe that there's a single part from any
T4x that would be usable on these machines...

Good luck with your quest.

Cheers,

George

Could I at the least still use my old t40s
3cell ultrabay battery in the latest t520
bays? From the photos they look similar.

I was hoping to stay with the small light
thin dimensions of the t40 but its all
widescreen now.

Shopping so far shows t410 has weak GPUs
so used lenovos seem a bad option.
Thinkpads/macbooks under 14 inches
don't offer i7 QM quadcores.

My favorite lenovo options so far are the
y570 5.9lbs 2630QM @ 1000
t520 5.6lbs 2820QM @ $1500

AMD doesn't have mobile benchmarks that come
close to what I need for video editing.
Hopefully Intel will release its 2760QM,
2860QM & 2960XM soon so Lenovo might lower
its prices on the existing quadcores. Or
maybe offer some quadcores in <14 thinkpads
or l-series laptops.
