From what I understand, Google does not provide them, so you have to go to
sites like oldapps.com or filehippo.com to download them.

It seems disabling Google Chrome updates requires a little registry editing.
If you are comfortable doing that, the instructions I found are located at:

Another possibility might be to download Chromium, the open source browser
project which powers Google Chrome.  The URL for that is:

        http://www.chromium.org/

Hopefully, one of those will meet your needs.
