Since Jeffrey's problem with Chrome doesn't seem to affect others, perhaps it is an issue with his particular installation. Might try removing and reinstalling Chrome.
One other possibility I haven't seen mentioned. There do seem to be people who have the memory problem if Chrome Cloud Print is enabled. If Jeffrey has done that, he should try disabling that and see if it solves his problem _________________________________ Robert Rosen Chief Information Officer National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases National Institutes of Health US Department of Health & Human Services E-Mail: [email protected] NIAMS 25th Anniversary: Improving Lives Through Discovery Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail -----Original Message----- Date: Wed, 14 Sep 2011 02:32:28 -0700 From: "Aryeh Goretsky (home)" <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [Thinkpad] T43 memory issue with Chrome Print Preview To: "Jeffrey Race" <[email protected]>, "Thinkpad Users Group" <[email protected]> Hello, From what I understand, Google does not provide them, so you have to go to sites like oldapps.com or filehippo.com to download them. It seems disabling Google Chrome updates requires a little registry editing. If you are comfortable doing that, the instructions I found are located at: http://www.sitepoint.com/how-to-disable-google-chrome-updates/ Another possibility might be to download Chromium, the open source browser project which powers Google Chrome. The URL for that is: http://www.chromium.org/ Hopefully, one of those will meet your needs.
