For what it's worth, I don't recall my T41's minidock needing any drivers, in Windows XP. I think the only actual "device" was the extra USB ports, which were just USB 2.0 devices.
Looking through the official manual for the Port Replicator/Port Replicator II/Mini Dock, there's no mention of drivers. I suspect it's the same for your situation.
