You are wrong. The new *30 series keyboard has island-6-row design. T420 has nothing of a kind.

My X120e and my Roommate's T420 both have the new keyboard design, and it still has the same tactile feel as my T23. It is a good, proper implementation of a chiclet-style keyboard, and not squishy like you might expect. It still has the same scissors action underneath that my T23 did. It still has the same inverted-dome shape to the top of the keys.
