That "fix" just cost them a set of loyal customers in this household.

Leaving the ThinkPadLand after 13 years, likely for good.

Oh, the complaint is layout, not key feel. It does have (almost) the same
layout as my X120e. And, all my complaints about the X120 layout have been
fixed (Delete in top-right corner, and PgUp/PgDn being actual keys rather than
buttons). I've actually had little issue getting used to the smaller key count;
the issues I mentioned earlier are the only sticking points, and it looks like
they've been fixed in the T430(s). - Alex

 You are wrong.

The new *30 series keyboard has island-6-row design. T420 has nothing of a
kind.

Have you actually tried the keyboard on the X220T? My X120e and my
Roommate's T420 both have the new keyboard design, and it still has the same
tactile feel as my T23. It is a good, proper implementation of a chiclet-style
keyboard, and not squishy like you might expect. It still has the same scissors
action underneath that my T23 did. It still has the same inverted-dome shape to
the top of the keys. So, while it looks different, it feels just fine as
keyboard to me - far better than any of the HP laptops they have where I work.

  My thoughts exactly.

If and when I decide to buy a workstation-class notebook with an IPS screen
and a *6-row island* keyboard it will be an EliteBook, NOT a ThinkPad.

The X220T that we received Friday is the last ThinkPad I ever buy new for as
long as Lenovo sticks to the new keyboard design, period.

You sure you want to buy one of the new ones? ?Have you seen the keyboards?

  Hello,

I am holding off upgrading my old T61 until the new Lenovo laptops are
available with USB 3.0. ?Today looks like the day, but some of the technical
stuff is still not up on the website.

I am doing more photography so I want an IPS panel. ?It appears I need to go
Full HD to get it, which means the T530 or W530. Some of the information is
still fuzzy. I may wait until the psref sheets are released.
