Robert,

I don't mind the island-style. That would work just fine.

However, the 6-row keyboard is a non-starter.

I've been using ThinkPads since the 600 series and have never witnessed such a
drastic change in the layout on the *real* ThinkPads.

I'll keep my existing collection of old units but the next machine that gets
purchased will not be another ThinkPad.

If I have to get used to a different layout, I'm jumping ship and moving to HP
where I'll get an inferior keyboard combined with a vastly superior LCD - I'm
talking about IPS-equipped EliteBooks here, not any other models.

All jokes aside, it hurts.

Cheers,

George

George:
I know keyboards are a personal thing but everytime they've changed in the
past,
when I thought they would be terrible, they turned out fine. You might, if
possible, find one to try before you give up on Thinkpads.

Just a thought.
