Using the Mozilla Thunderbird profile manager, I have created a new profile named University on my external G drive. When the drive is turned on and accessible I can start Thunderbird with the following command:
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -P "University" I have copied the Profiles directory from the external drive to my internal D drive, which is more convenient because it is always turned on and accessible. However, the above command fails to detect the new location of the University profile. The full path name of the new location is: D:\Documents and Settings\Bill\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\p25jhy5v.default I would appreciate instructions on how to tell Thunderbird that the the profile location has been changed from the G to the D drive. The profile manager has only the options Create, rename and Delete.
