Click on "Help" in Thunderbird, then "Thunderbird help" in the menu that opens. In the web page that opens, click on the Mozilla Thunderbird FAQ link, then look for the "How do I move my profile or restore a backed up copy? question. The answer to this should tell you all you need to know. Question of my own. Why does Thunderbird's spell checker always flag its own name as misspelled?
