I might add that I'd only been looking at the FAQ last night because I
will shortly be dealing with the somewhat similar problem of migrating
all my emails, settings, etc. to Thunderbird on a new computer. If the
FAQ is to be believed, all I need to do is copy the profiles folder from
the old to the new computer after shutting down Thunderbird for the last
time on the old machine. If I overwrite the profiles folder of the new,
unused Thunderbird installation, then it should have everything just as
it was when I last used the old installation.
