Hello Everyone, It’s a shame to see this thread go a little off the rails as this is an important and interesting discussion — which may be why it has aroused such passions. That passion is itself an important component of the TiddlyWiki community: for many of us, using and working on TiddlyWiki is deeply intertwined with our lives, and so it’s natural to have strongly held opinions about it.
Nonetheless, we all have to pay attention to how we behave in order to keep things civil and fun. That means that we criticise ideas, not people; that we start with the assumption that everyone is participating in good faith, and we understand that the ambiguities and exigencies of online communication can have inadvertent side effects. We should never lose sight of what we have in common. This community is a living example of how an incredibly diverse group of people can come together and help one another.
