Right. AST (the Abstract Syntax Tree <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abstract_syntax_tree>, not the Azienda Siciliana Trasporti <http://www.aziendasicilianatrasporti.it/>). BUT, right now the other routes in TW markup/format options are somewhat mute. Mainly, I think, because the both creating Content Types and the workings of the basic parser are (as far as I can see) not so well documented. At the moment I think its looking harder to than it actually is to achieve variant markup systems because of that.
