But wait. Its not the application itself that's broken here, right? Because if I select text in a remote konsole/gvim, I can paste with middle click. Also, locally, I can select text and paste within all applications. So, primary selection is working fine for the application. Its when this interaction involves sending primary selection over VNC from client to server, that it does not work.
