This is true, but I would call this a workaround. There will always be some places missing. I would hope oceantiles.dat will become stable when all the bugs are ironed out. If we start to include all kinds of features in there it will be changing forever. It certainly would be desirable if this was fixed on the API side because editors and other applications would benefit from this, too.
