Over the past 8 days I sent out 5~6 ntp packets/s on average (dropping a few abusive clients and non-client packages). I am in zones: @ europe nl. Depending on how intense the zones are used, the 'typical' # of packets/s might vary largely across zones and the # of servers in them.
