I see that this subject is becoming quite hot and this is really good. First I want to thank to santiagoroza, he is quite well informed and he gived very good hints and links about GPL licensing.
Now it's the job of fabien and his team to decide how to handle the problem. I hope they will made a good decision. Solutions until now: #1. Keep GPL / Do nothing (clearly there is no way of making modules other than GPL) #2. GPL + exceptions (Could work but it's unclear how can someone gain those rights and if this will cost?) #3. switch LGPL (this will made development of commercial modules possible and assure that any modified line of TinyERP will be contributed back). It's quite normal that the development of a commercial module will require improvement of LGPL too. PS. Personally I'm looking for an LGPL license :) _______________________________________________ Tinyerp-users mailing list http://tiny.be/mailman/listinfo/tinyerp-users
