The kn-dati alternative is pure "openerp to openerp" and should be considered also. data transformation is made on a per-module configuration, which means for me that a custom module publisher can include migration configuration (xml) in his module, and so we would be able ideally to manage any module combination whatever the version of other modules is. sraps might elaborate on this.
