I guess the Akration tool is only a technical diff tool and that is definitely a good start. Perhaps someone of Akretion can comment on this.
But there are several/many changes to the functionality e.g. my example on changes in account types to support the new P/L reporting. This example is even more complex as it has to do with localization and could for every country, even per customer be different. (Depended on how accounting is set up) So a migration tool should have a localized part in it too and some data needs manual intervention that needs to be reported.
