Louise,

To respond to your comments I will let you read the
paragraph below which appears in my syllabus for all
the classes that I teach. Once you read this you will
see that your preconceived notions about me and my
teaching attitude, approach and style were false.

A Final Note

I want to thank you for enrolling in my class and I
will do whatever I can to provide you with the best
quality education in the most effective learning
environment. I love psychology and love teaching it
even more. I hope that my passion and interest for
psychology will also strengthen and deepen yours. I am
looking forward to working with all of you and if at
any time during the semester you have any problems or
anything that is concerning you PLEASE COME SEE ME so
I can do whatever I feel is appropriate and within my
limits to assist and help you. Please do not feel
uncomfortable or intimidated to approach me for
anything. I am here for you. I am a very friendly and
easy person to approach. Lastly, I want to share a few
of my favorite quotes with you below that have
relevance to this course. Thank you.

"To attempt to understand human behavior is ... the
most exciting intellectual challenge in the world."
Milton M. Gordon, 1988

Psychology. Understanding ourselves, understanding
each other. The American Psychological Association

It's not your aptitude but your attitude
that determines your altitude. J. Jackson

You can have anything you want -- if you want it
badly enough. You can be anything you want to be, do
anything you set out to accomplish if you hold to that
desire with singleness of purpose. -- Abraham Lincoln
