There was an interesting story on NPR this morning about published research on
medication effects in general. The story reports on a recent publication (JAMA)
that shows that approximately one-third of research published on medication
effects helps physicians make choices among treatments. The remaining
publications are seen as useful by these authors for marketing of medications.
I would guess that this problem is more severe for medications used in
Psychiatry.
