Yes, Iggy it's a small adapter with two phone ports on the back. I
have been able to connect to the TiVo service through Vonage for the
initial setup, but when I try to connect to the TiVo service and get
the latest software update (7.x), the connection fails about 10
minutes into the download. I've used the "test settings" command and
it always passes with no problems.

Vonage service is based on the broadband of your ISP and if there is a Net
traffic bottle neck you'll have a fluctuation in the pone signal. I spend a
lot of time on the phone (I am in real estate) and get many incoming and
outgoing calls from different parts of the country. I noticed that sometimes
(at least 1-2 time per day with extensive usage) the voice connection goes
down - I cannot hear the person or they cannot hear me. At the same time my
e-mail download stops - I can see it since I've tested it - the download
progress stops. I think this related to your ISP - the Net traffic just
stops for 5-10 seconds and this somehow can effect your download of
programming. It takes sometimes 10-20 minutes I think. This is just enough
for the internet connection to go down and your Vonage signal disrupts.

Also, if you have a wireless router that is connected to the modem and then
your Vonage Router is connected to the wireless router, this can be a
problem. Put your Vonage router first and then feed off wireless router off
it. But since you have a little phone adapter this would not work - I take
you have to plug it into the router? - is yours wireless or Ethernet router?
I talked to Vonage people about it and they told me that the regular Vonage
router (with several ports) is designed to be in front of the Wireless
router. Don't know how this related to the little phone adapter.

I'd try it several more times at different times of the day, do it manually
and see if it works. If not, then the only option you'll have is networking.

"Testing" shows OK, but this just tests the phone line and for a short time
1-30 seconds your ISP connection can be OK, however on longer term you may
get a failure.

Thanks for your help!
